DAY 6 & 7

I try to go daily but sometimes work prevents me from doing so. I did not pop in yesterday, Monday, but swung by today during lunchtime to bring some drinks and food for the workers. I saw more cement blocks and screed being delivered. They were on crates at the ground floor, waiting to be taken up to the unit. Much has been done in the two days. The master and Em's room have been floor screeded and they look good. Meg's room remains the same because they've yet to take down the wall between the girls' rooms. We are still awaiting HDB's approval for the study/balcony wall.
Cement blocks and more bags of cement screed at the void deck downstairs.
More concrete blocks and on the right, I believe they are the lightweight concrete blocks that will fill up the balcony floor.
This was the original bar on the balcony parapet which I wanted removed.
So glad they managed to do it and there wasn't any rule to say we couldn't.
The balcony column and beam have been screeded and cleaned up. Don't know why they haven't removed the clothes pole hanger!
Nice and smooth new floor in Em's room. Concrete, when wet is very dark grey in colour but it lightens up after a few days of drying.
A bar was placed at the entrance to the two rooms so that we wouldn't imprint the wet cement with our footprints.
Some screeding was done in the kitchen as well - The bathroom doorway and the rubbish chute wall.
It's getting crowded!
